Significant Dates
Nov. 8, 1991 -- 1st visit to the site by President Hinckley
Approved options to acquire two sites:
Parcel 1 for the NB Stake Center
Parcel 2 for a possible future temple
June 25, 1992 -- Acquisition of Parcel 1, initially for the NB Stake Center
Nov. 1992 -- Decision to hold Parcel 1 for a possible future temple and to acquire Parcel 2 for the NBSC.
April 30, 1993 -- Pres. Hinckley's 1st public mention of a possible OC temple -- made during a SD Temple dedication session
Feb. 17, 2001 -- Pres. Hinckley's 2nd visit to the site prior to making the April 2001 formal public announcement
Nov. 12, 2002 -- NB City Council approval of a Condit'l Use Permit to build the temple
Aug. 15, 2003 -- Ground breaking ceremony
Sept. 2003 -- All final City building permits issued
Jan. 13, 2005 -- Angel Moroni placement (accompanied by a solar halo)

Site Area -- 8.8 acres
Open space -- 8.3 acres (95%)
Building Area -- 15,757 occupied (1/2 acre lot coverage)
Building Dimensions -- Average 197 feet by 113 feet
One-story buillding, with basement mechanical & storage areas.
Building Height -- 90 feet from ground to top of Angel. 35 feet to rooftop.
